Basic Introductory Course, Level One - Using the 5P Approach to prevent and manage behaviour difficulties 
NOTE: THIS IS NOW A VIDEO BASED ONLINE COURSE


This course introduces the 5P Approach. This practical course introduces the 5P Approach, its philosophy & materials and provides opportunity for participants to practise each stage of the 5P Approach. This course is particularly suitable for teachers, psychologists, outreach teachers, and other professionals working with children and young people on the autism spectrum or SEND ( this course can easily be adapted to suit a wider range of needs).By the end of this course delegates will have acquired all the knowledge and skills needed to use the 5P Approach in their work

The aims of this course are:
  • To explore why behaviour issues arise
  • To explore how behaviour problems can be avoided by meeting needs and maintaining well-being ( staying GREEN)
  • To identify what is required to build a GREEN Zone ( strong foundations)
  • To introduce the principles & philosophy of the 5P Approach
  • To gain practical experience of using the 5P Approach to problem-solve and plan for behaviour issues which arise
How is it presented?
It is presented in the form of four training videos, each based on a PowerPoint presentation and each covering a section of the 5P Approach framework. Participants are also provided with downloadable resources and course notes.
Once the four sessions have been completed, participants are invited to attend a live online Q&A.  Each training video includes built in opportunities for activities designed to provide participants with practical experience of using the 5P Approach. Using this flexible method of online training, participants are able to complete the course in their own time and at their own speed, pausing and repeating as required. A Certificate of Course Completion is provided on completion of a short online quiz and evaluation.
Please note that all 5P Approach downloadable resources, including those materials used specifically within the Introductory Course training will be available for participants to download and keep for their ongoing use and reference. Access to training videos however will be available only for a period of 10 weeks from the time of course log in (please see Terms and Conditions).

How to access 5P Approach Online training
5P Approach Online training is available in three forms
  • Individual – Access for 1 person only                                                CURRENT COST £60
  • Group – Access for small group (Max 10 people)                            CURRENT COST £195
Organisation – Access for whole organisation (Max 60)*                         CURRENT COST £550
* For larger groups please CONTACT directly before booking. Participants wishing to complete the course are asked complete the online Booking Form giving their name and contact details.
Please note that by accessing 5P Approach Online training, participants will be confirming agreement to be bound by the Online Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before confirming your booking.
Once booking has been confirmed and payment has been received, participants will be sent details on how to log in to the 5P Approach website to access the training. Participants may start the course immediately or can book to start on an arranged date. All resources and materials required to complete the course will be made available via this log in.
