The Combined Level Two & Three course is ideal for outreach services, psychologists and other key professionals who wish to add the use of the 5P Approach
to their CPD and practising portfolio and who wish to train and support others in using the 5P Approach. Nb: Applicants for the Combined Practitioner (Trainer) course must have first completed the Level One course (or have gained equivalent knowledge & experience through use of the 5P Approach in their work). As this course combines both Advanced and Practitioner (Trainer) courses, it is essential that those attending are confident in their knowledge and understanding of the 5P Approach THE COST OF THIS COURSE IS currently £550. PER DELEGATE - this includes Trainer Manual & resources and Training Licence

The Combined Level Two & Three course covers key elements of both the Advanced (level Two) and Practitioner (Trainer) course (level Three) and includes the following
All delegates completing the Combined Level 2&3 Practitioner (Trainer) level course are licensed to train, supervise and support others within their setting in using the 5P Approach to the Introductory level and to issue 5P Approach Level One certificates.
Delegates will be provided with a 5P Approach Introductory Level training pack for use with work related training sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: although delegates attending 5P courses may cascade information to their colleagues, only Level Three Practitioners are licensed as 5P Trainers and can offer certified 5P Approach Introductory Level Training to others.

Criteria for entry to the Practitioner (Trainer) course
In order to ensure the integrity of the 5P Approach and maintain a high quality of practice and a high standard of training quality, anyone wishing to move to this level must have a sound level of understanding of the philosophy and principles of the 5P Approach and good familiarity with the 5P stages and recording materials. All delegates must satisfy the 5P Approach Practitioner (trainer) Essential skills Criteria before reaching this status (this will be “tested” on the day within the workshop activities). There is therefore and expectation that anyone attending the course would have a great deal of experience in using the 5P Approach and its materials in their own practice and in supporting others. Nb: Linda Miller reserves the right to defer the issue of a 5P Training licence to those who do not fully meet the criteria.
Course attendees should bring with them:
- Three case examples of how they have used the 5P Approach with individuals or strategically and attendees should be prepared to present one case verbally to other delegates. These examples will be collected on the day so please bring copies. Examples should demonstrate a use of the 5P Approach materials with individuals or groups. Case work presentations should demonstrate a solid understanding of the practical use of the 5P Approach.

- An introduction to the use of the additional 5P Approach resources and materials e.g. involving the individual, 5P Approach to Flexibility & Self-Knowledge etc.
- Using the 5P Approach as a preventative tool
- How the 5P Approach and materials can be used within consultations on behaviour/SEND issues in a variety of settings
- How to support and advise others in using the 5P Approach with individuals
- Embedding the 5P Approach at an organisational level.
- How to create a workshop for training others to Introductory Level within the workplace or within the home setting

- The integrity of the 5P Approach must be maintained, and no significant modifications should be made
- Trainers must limit their training activities to fellow professionals and/or parents within the area of their normal working environment and responsibilities
- The number of people being trained by one Practitioner (trainer) at any one time should not normally exceed 25.
- Training must only be given on a non –profit making, non-commercial basis ( fees can be charged to cover costs)
- A 5P Approach training licence* will be issued on the day and delegates asked to sign & complete a licence agreement form.
